South of the Marina Park boat ramp you will find
that the seagrass beds along the western
shoreline will be sparse and the principle
bottom coverage is a brown algae. While fish do
feed in the area the fishing is not a good as it
is in areas of seagrass coverage. North of
Marina Park grass beds can still be found. South
of the Max Brewer Causeway, concentrate more on
the western shoreline. However, fishing around
unused docks can produce seatrout and redfish.
Also try the shallows around spoil islands and
on the bars left by recently submerged islands.
